John Barrett III will take questions and invite comments at a "ReMarks and Refreshments" town hall forum in Williamstown from 10 to 11:30 AM on Tuesday, March 14.  CLARKSBURG, Mass. — Officials are trying to figure out how to fit all its essential offices on the first level of Town Hall. The last Select Board had shifted meetings to the handicapped-accessible Community Center, in part because of the pandemic, and the administrative assistant was moved into the Ketchum Meeting Room. Select Board Chair Jeffrey Levanos said he would like to see all meetings returned to Town Hall noting that the Ketchum Meeting Room had been designated years ago for that purpose.  NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The McCann School Committee has hired Bradley Architects of Pittsfield to draw up the plans for a 5,600 square foot building that will house the new heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration program. The committee last week approved the bid of $241,880. The vocational school is the recipient of a $3.1 million state Skills Capital Grant to provide training HVAC. This will cover the construction of the building and the development of the program. The recommendation was made by the facilities subcommittee, which reviewed three bid submissions. NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — North Adams Pride announced that their first annual Northern Lights Ball will be held on Saturday, March 11 for members of the regional LGBTQ-plus community and allies "to shake off the winter blues." PITTSFIELD, Mass.– Oasis Hason and Ahmed Shabazz were found guilty of possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute and sentenced to one to two years in state prison. On Thursday, Feb. 16 Hasan, age 25 of Yonkers, N.Y., and Shabazz, age 27 also of Yonkers, were both found guilty of Possession of Cocaine with the Intent to Distribute. NORTH ADAMS, MASS.— The Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) Student Government Association's (SGA) 45th annual Sam Gomez Road Race will again be a hybrid event this year, with an interactive virtual race that will be run from March 24 th through March 31 and the in-person event will be held on April 1. This year's race will benefit Tapestry of North Adams. Through the event, the SGA has raised over $30,000 for Berkshire-based organizations for almost 20 years.
