Charter School Basketball Team Shows Improvement in Senior Day Loss

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Eathan Joseph had a double-double Wednesday for the Eagle Hill basketball team in a 60-45 win over Berkshire Arts and Technology Charter.   Joseph scored 19 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and blocked a couple of shots for Eagle Hill, which used a 26-6 third quarter to break open a five-point game.   The Wolf Pack got 17 points and 10 rebounds from Samseedy Touray and 15 points from Jsaun Griffin.   Touray scored four straight points late in the first quarter to give the hosts a 13-8 lead before Eagle Hill scored on back-to-back possessions to cut it to a one-point game at the end of the period.   Eagle Hill started the second quarter on an 8-0 run that

MCLA Women's Basketball Falls at Fitchburg State

FITCHBURG, Mass. -- The Fitchburg State women's basketball team Saturday shot 35 percent from behind the 3-point line en route to a 62-39 win over MCLA.   Zaylee Ramos and Hailey Peabody each had a double-double for the Trailblazers, accounting for 74 percent of the team's points between them.   Ramos finished with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Gittens' Late Free Throw Lifts MCLA Men

Carpenter Breaks School Assist Record at Framingham State

Framingham State senior point guard Gwendolyn Carpenter last month broke the all time assist record at the school.   Her 466th career assist came in a win over Curry College on Dec. 9, breaking a 5-year-old school record.   Carpenter was averaging more than seven assists per game going into Wednesday's home game against Westfield State. She also led the Rams (11-1) in minutes played, averaging 36.8 minutes per contest and had scored 9.4 points per game.   Carpenter is no stranger to breaking records. Zator Leads MCLA Women's Basketball in Road Win
