Mayor Jennifer Macksey is the chair of the committee because of her office but the vice chair is elected by the committee members. David Sookey was unanimously elected vice chair on the nomination of Richard Alcombright. Sookey had nominated Alcombright and Emily Daunis nominated herself; all nominations were seconded. OTT Taxi Told to 'Cease Operations'Staff Reports, 05:37PM / Sunday, December 31, 2023 | | NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — A local taxi company was told by the city to close its doors at 8 a.m. on New Year's Day after failing to find a new office location. The closure of OTT Taxi was announced as "temporary" through Facebook posts but not on its website. The company has apparently been operating without a permanent location since at least October.
