Halfmoon rallied for three runs in the bottom of the seventh and scored in the bottom of the eighth to take a 7-6 win over the Greylock Thunder in the title game of the Summer Storm Tournament on Sunday afternoon. NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The city has received a $75,000 grant toward the repair and restoration of the public library's belvedere. Mayor Jennifer Macksey told the City Council on Tuesday that this funding comes from the Massachusetts Preservation Commission. Genevieve Lagess went 2-for-2 with a pair of triples and scored three times, and the Thunder overcame an early deficit to take a 13-9 win over Dalton in the pool play finale on Francis Millard Field. On Sunday morning, the eight teams in the tournament will be seeded for the 10 a.m. quarter-final round. Large Scale Power Outage Impacting North County 11:55AM / Friday, July 12, 2024 | |
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — National Grid are attending to a substation after a large scale power outage through Northern Berkshire County. According to National Grid, Nearly 3,000 customers have been impacted in North Adams and Clarksburg and over 4,000 have been impacted in Williamstown and Hancock on Friday. Power went out around 11 am. In North Adams outages have been reported on Veazie Street, River Street, Mass Ave., Bracewll Ave, and State Road. In North Adams Police are directing traffic where traffic lights are out. National Grid estimates that power will be restored by between 1 and 2 pm. The City Council last year had set fees and permitting regulations for short-term rentals in the city after more than four years of debate.
