MCLA Women's Basketball Earns Road Win| 09:15AM / Wednesday, January 03, 2024 | | FRANKLIN, Mass. -- Kristie Zator had a double-double Tuesday to lead the MCLA women's basketball team to a 45-27 win over Dean College. Zator finished with 16 points and 11 rebounds in the Trailblazers' first game after their winter break. Wahconah graduate Eva Eberwein scored 11 points and had three steals in the win. Mayor Jennifer Macksey is the chair of the committee because of her office but the vice chair is elected by the committee members. David Sookey was unanimously elected vice chair on the nomination of Richard Alcombright. Sookey had nominated Alcombright and Emily Daunis nominated herself; all nominations were seconded. BHS Reinstitutes Masking and Updates Visitor Guidelines| 05:31PM / Tuesday, January 02, 2024 | | PITTSFIELD, Mass. — In the wake of a significant increase in the incidence of respiratory illness locally, Berkshire Health Systems has resumed mandatory masking for staff, patients and visitors, and has instituted changes in its visitation policy, effective on Wednesday, Jan. 3. City Woman Wins Hometown Holidays Gift Basket |

Jonathan Secor had some help in pulling the winning ticket.
Congrats to Janet O'Neill of North Adams who won the big Hometown Holidays gift basket on Thursday. O'Neill won some $1,300 worth of gift certificates and merchandise.
The drawing could be entered by spending $50 downtown during the Thursday night Hometown Holiday events. Jonathan Secor of MCLA Gallery 51 said 62 people had entered the contest (including the editor of iBerkshires &mdash amazing how much cat toys cost nowadays).
Secor contacted O'Neill who was excited and surprised at winning. "No, I'm not kidding," Secor assured her
