MCLA Golfer Wins Tournament TitleMCLA Sports Information,

RANDOLPH, Vt. -- It took two extra holes and a sudden death play-off, but MCLA's Matt Gover won his third individual title of the season today claiming the Tony Mariano Invitational hosted by Norwich University at the Montague Golf Club. Gover shot an even par 71 with a birdie on the 8th hole and an eagle on the 15th to tie Norwich University's Cooper Bertrand before winning the title on the second play-off hole. Two weeks ago, Gover won the Norwich Invitational on the same course and earlier this week he won the MCLA Invitational at the Waubeeka Country Club. CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — FEMA encourages residents and visitors in Hurricane Lee's path to prepare now and follow the instructions of local officials. Anyone in the forecast path of the storm should monitor local weather alerts for updates and evacuate immediately if told to do so. City Woman Wins Hometown Holidays Gift Basket |
Jonathan Secor had some help in pulling the winning ticket.
Congrats to Janet O'Neill of North Adams who won the big Hometown Holidays gift basket on Thursday. O'Neill won some $1,300 worth of gift certificates and merchandise.
The drawing could be entered by spending $50 downtown during the Thursday night Hometown Holiday events. Jonathan Secor of MCLA Gallery 51 said 62 people had entered the contest (including the editor of iBerkshires &mdash amazing how much cat toys cost nowadays).
