KEENE, N.H. -- Aidan Corn drew a bases loaded walk in the bottom of the 10th to give the Keene Swamp Bats a 9-8 win over North Adams on Saturday night. Samuel Tackett homered twice and drove in three runs for North Adams, which also got a pair of hits from Benjamin Watson. The SteepleCats took advantage of eight walks and three Keene errors. The senior from Sheffield hit .405 with seven home runs and 77 RBIs in 51 games for the Lyons In his college career, he batted .375, the sixth-highest batting average in school history. NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The Mayor's Fitness Challenge (MFC) is back for the month of June, calling on the community to make a conscientious effort at healthier habits by participating in this community-wide fitness challenge. This will be the 7th Annual MFC for North Adams. Community members of all ages are encouraged to register and participate either as individuals or as part of a team, to wrack up points for the chance to earn prizes at the conclusion of the challenge.  PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Williamstown's Alex White was the first runner across the finish line at Sunday's MountainOne Steel Rail Marathon on the Ashuwilticook Trail. White maintained a 6 minute, 26 second per mile pace over the 26.2 mile course from Pittsfield to Adams and back. He reached the finish line in 2:48.42.41 to finish 5-1/2 minutes ahead of the rest of the other 72 runners who finished the event's marathon division.
