HOLYOKE, Mass. – The Valley Blue Sox Wednesday scored five runs in the fifth inning en route to an 8-3 win over the North Adams SteepleCats in New England Collegiate Baseball League action. Cedric Rose went 2-for-4 with a double to lead North Adams’ offense. The SteepleCats (10-29) host Bristol, Conn., on Thursday.

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Jack Sefrino struck out four hitters, and SteepleCats Monday rallied for three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to earn a 4-2 win over Martha's Vineyard in New England Collegiate Baseball League action. The Sharks scored in the top of the seventh to break a 1-1 tie. In the bottom of the frame, Aiden Stewart drove in the tying run with a single to right, and he and DM Jefferson each scored on a wild pitch. HOLYOKE, Mass. – Mason Wolf hit an RBI single in the bottom of the ninth to complete an 8-7 comeback win for the Valley Blue Sox over the North Adams SteepleCats in New England Collegiate Baseball League action on Saturday night. Valley scored three runs in the ninth after North Adams scored in the top of the inning to build a 7-5 lead. Aiden Stewart went 3-for-3 with a pair of RBIs, and Gehrig Ebel was 2-for-4 with three runs batted in for North Adams. The SteepleCats (9-28) come home to host Martha’s Vineyard on Sunday evening at Joe Wolfe Field.

SANFORD, Maine -- Samuel Tackett went 2-for-4 with a double and a pair of RBIs Friday to lead the North Adams SteepleCats to a 6-3 win over the Mainers in New England Collegiate Baseball League action. Taconic High School graduate Sam Sherman also went 2-for-4 for North Adams, which collected 10 hits in snapping a 10-game losing streak. ADAMS, Mass. – Ashlyn Lesure hit a two-run home run and scored three times Thursday to lead the ACS Swat to a 16-7 win over the Greylock Thunder in the Berkshire County Fast Pitch Softball 16U division. The Swat jumped on top with a four-run first inning that featured an RBI single by Nora Kondel. The hosts built that lead to 8-0 over the next two innings as Gabby Driscoll held the Thunder to two hits and stranded six runners in the first three frames. Ellis Green acquired a franchise in the American Basketball Association with hopes of giving players a chance “to express their love and dedication to the game.” This weekend at the Berkshire Family YMCA, aspiring pros will have a chance to prove their skills and earn a spot on the Berkshire Mountaineers, who are set to launch their inaugural season this fall.
