Berkshire Force 12U Tops Greylock Thunder in Dalton CRA TourneyBy Leland Barnes, iBerkshires.com Sports 09:49PM / Saturday, July 20, 2024 | | DALTON, Mass. — The Berkshire Force 12U travel softball team ended the day with a 15-5 win over the Greylock Thunder, going 2-0-1 on the day in the CRA Softball Tournament on Saturday. It was a busy day Saturday for the Force with games against the Greylock Thunder Black, the Purple the ACS Swat. Berkshire came away with the top seed in the four-team field heading into Sunday's semi-finals. If it is approved, there will be a ballot vote for a debt exclusion in September for the city's $20 million portion of the cost. The truck has front-end damage; the tree is gone. NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — An errant pickup truck took out one of the trees on Main Street on Thursday night. Police Lt. Anthony Beverly said dispatch was notified about 10 minutes to midnight that a vehicle was in the median. The incident is still under investigation but the driver is expected to be summonsed on criminal charges. The driver was apparently headed west on Main Street when they veered into the median in front of the Berkshire Plaza. The driver was the only occupant and was taken to the hospital.
