Unlike most of us, she decided to do something about it. Malloy, the coach of the McCann Technical School cross country teams, and her student-athletes put their empathy into action by organizing a fundraising 5-kilometer race to benefit victims of the fire. CHESHIRE, Mass. — The McCann Tech cross country team on Sept. 16 will host a 5-kilometer trail run and 1 mile walk to benefit victims of August's fire in Hawaii. The Walk/Run for Maui fund-raiser will take place at Whitney's Farm on Ingalls Road (follow the dirt road past the U-Pick blueberries). GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- The 24th annual Monument Cup 3-on-3 soccer tournament returns on Sunday, Sept. 24, at Monument Mountain Regional High School. The event features boys and girls divisions in the under-10, under-12 and under-14 age groups. Teams of three to four players are guaranteed at least three matches.
