NEW YORK -- Noel Medina went 4-for-5 with a double Saturday to lead the MCLA baseball team to an 11-10 win over Yeshiva in a season-opening double-header win for the Trailblazers. Taconic grad Austin Rachiele went 2-for-4 with a double and a pair of RBIs in the win, which saw four MCLA pitchers combine to strike out 12. In an 10-0 win, four Trailblazers struck out eight and allowed four hits. Clarence Givhans went 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles. The last Select Board had shifted meetings to the handicapped-accessible Community Center, in part because of the pandemic, and the administrative assistant was moved into the Ketchum Meeting Room. Select Board Chair Jeffrey Levanos said he would like to see all meetings returned to Town Hall noting that the Ketchum Meeting Room had been designated years ago for that purpose.  NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The McCann School Committee has hired Bradley Architects of Pittsfield to draw up the plans for a 5,600 square foot building that will house the new heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration program. The committee last week approved the bid of $241,880. The vocational school is the recipient of a $3.1 million state Skills Capital Grant to provide training HVAC. This will cover the construction of the building and the development of the program. The recommendation was made by the facilities subcommittee, which reviewed three bid submissions.
