NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The Massachusetts Teachers Association (MTA) and Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) will offer the new COVID Booster to all community members with or without insurance in Murdock Hall Room 202 on Friday, Oct. 27 from noon to 4 p.m. Pizza and snacks will be offered in Murdock Hall Room 218 to all who attend. Those who wish to get vaccinated should pre-register to ensure an accurate count at mcla.edu/vaccineregister. Peter May makes his pitch to the Public Arts Commission. NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Peter May is hoping to add more art to the pocket park he made possible on historic Eagle Street. The Public Arts Commission is recommending that his metal work — "A Dream Come True" — be situated within the park or another suitable location. The commission's main concern was the placement of the piece, which would be about 8 feet long and nearly 5 feet high. Beemyn is the director of the UMass Amherst Stonewall Center and the coordinator of Campus Pride's Trans Policy Clearinghouse. They have published and spoken extensively on the experiences and needs of trans college students, including writing some of the first articles on the topic in the 2000s.
