Man Pleads Guilty to Gun, Drug Charges Connected to North Adams Drug Bust| 11:00AM / Friday, October 27, 2023 | | PITTSFIELD, Mass. — On Tuesday, Aug. 24, Quentin Harris, of Springfield, pled guilty and was sentenced to a slate of charges in connection to a 2022 drug bust in North Adams. Charges: Possession with Intent to Distribute (Fentanyl) - 5 to 8 years state prison concurrent on all charges Trafficking in Cocaine - 5 to 8 years Illegal Possession of a Firearm (2nd Offense) - 5 to 7 years Illegal Possession of a Loaded Firearm Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony - 4 to 5 years He was sentenced by the Judge Agostini in Berkshire Superior Court. NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Berkshire Medical Center is requesting an overlay district for the campus of the reopening North Adams Regional Hospital. The Hospital Avenue Overlay District would cover only the property off Hospital Avenue owned by BMC that includes the former hospital building, the Clark House, Doctor's Building and Ambulatory Care Center. The purpose of the overlay would be "to enhance and facilitate the provision of hospital and medical services in the City of North Adams and surrounding areas to permit by-right medical uses on the 29-acre parcel." City Woman Wins Hometown Holidays Gift Basket |

Jonathan Secor had some help in pulling the winning ticket.
Congrats to Janet O'Neill of North Adams who won the big Hometown Holidays gift basket on Thursday. O'Neill won some $1,300 worth of gift certificates and merchandise.
The drawing could be entered by spending $50 downtown during the Thursday night Hometown Holiday events. Jonathan Secor of MCLA Gallery 51 said 62 people had entered the contest (including the editor of iBerkshires &mdash amazing how much cat toys cost nowadays).
