 LONGMEADOW, Mass. — MountainOne Insurance Agency, a subsidiary of MountainOne Bank, announced the acquisition of G.W. Morisi Insurance Agency, Inc., a third generation, family-owned agency that has served Longmeadow and neighboring communities for more than 75 years. The G.W. Morisi staff of four, including President Rory Sullivan, will remain with the agency, providing the same level of excellent customer service, which has been the hallmark of the agency, from their 473 Longmeadow Street location. NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The School Building Committee saw some alternative design options for the Greylock School project, including relocating Fallon Field to Noel Field and enhancing the emergency shelter capacity of the building. NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — MassDOT agreed to fund a few additional Airport Safety and Maintenance Projects (ASMP) at the North Adams Airport within the current fiscal year. Stantec Engineer Peter Enzien told the airport commission Tuesday, Feb 20 that the city will profit from some large MassDOT projects that have been delayed until fiscal year 2025. "I thought this was all good news," said Commissioner Marc Morandi. "...If they are jingling around money why not make some recommendations."  FALMOUTH, Mass. — Ronald Nasif served his country in the Naval Reserve for 30 years, retiring as a commander. Growing up in Boston, he majored in biology at Boston College, where he also lettered in football for the Eagles. He would go on to Tufts Medical School but took a year off graduate school and taught during the busing crisis of the 1970s. "[Grad school] was always a challenge. City Woman Wins Hometown Holidays Gift Basket |
Jonathan Secor had some help in pulling the winning ticket.
Congrats to Janet O'Neill of North Adams who won the big Hometown Holidays gift basket on Thursday. O'Neill won some $1,300 worth of gift certificates and merchandise.
The drawing could be entered by spending $50 downtown during the Thursday night Hometown Holiday events. Jonathan Secor of MCLA Gallery 51 said 62 people had entered the contest (including the editor of iBerkshires &mdash amazing how much cat toys cost nowadays).
