The Third Annual 'Share the Love' Challenge| 10:41AM / Monday, February 12, 2024 | |
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — This Valentine's Day, and throughout the month of February, the First Congregational Church North Adams (FCCNA) invites Berkshire County residents and friends to contribute to its "Share the Love" challenge. For every dollar received, FCCNA will donate 50 cents to help three local institutions—Berkshire Food Project, Louison House, and the Al Nelson Friendship Center Food Pantry. All proceeds from the campaign will be split evenly among the three recipient organizations. In February 2022, FCCNA raised $5,100 for its challenge; the next year, it raised $5,550. NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The Department of Fine and Performing Arts at MCLA announced the Winter/Spring 2024 programming including cultural events, exhibitions, performances, workshops, and musical experiences. According to a press release: MCLA Gallery 51 The first exhibition of 2024 will examine the entangled histories of ecology and migration. "Unfortunately It Was Paradise" features three artists, Lorena Molina, Larissa Rogers, and Jumana Manna, who address how ecology surfaces in our memory, imagination, and present that are shaped by the legacies of slavery, war, and settler colonialism. City Woman Wins Hometown Holidays Gift Basket |

Jonathan Secor had some help in pulling the winning ticket.
Congrats to Janet O'Neill of North Adams who won the big Hometown Holidays gift basket on Thursday. O'Neill won some $1,300 worth of gift certificates and merchandise.
The drawing could be entered by spending $50 downtown during the Thursday night Hometown Holiday events. Jonathan Secor of MCLA Gallery 51 said 62 people had entered the contest (including the editor of iBerkshires &mdash amazing how much cat toys cost nowadays).
