 The second phase of Blackinton infrastructure project in North Adams is being funded by a $2 million Massworks grant. NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The state's Executive Office of Economic Development has announced $164 million in grant funding through the Community One Stop for Growth application portal, including $7,824,400 for Berkshire County. North Adams received the highest amount in the county: $2.25 million for public and private development projects. Pittsfield is getting $540,000 for six projects and Cheshire, Dalton and Great Barrington up to $1 million each for road projects. City Woman Wins Hometown Holidays Gift Basket |

Jonathan Secor had some help in pulling the winning ticket.
Congrats to Janet O'Neill of North Adams who won the big Hometown Holidays gift basket on Thursday. O'Neill won some $1,300 worth of gift certificates and merchandise.
The drawing could be entered by spending $50 downtown during the Thursday night Hometown Holiday events. Jonathan Secor of MCLA Gallery 51 said 62 people had entered the contest (including the editor of iBerkshires &mdash amazing how much cat toys cost nowadays).
