ADAMS, Mass. — Charles P. O’Brien, President, and CEO of Adams Community Bank, announces a new branch hire and a recent promotion. Kara Clark has been promoted to Branch Officer of the Lenox branch. Clark began with Adams Community Bank five years ago as a Customer Service Representative in Williamstown. After only two years of customer service and extensive ACB product and service knowledge, she was promoted to Assistant Branch Manager at our Park Street location. Don Disbrow joins Adams Community Bank as the Branch Officer at the bank's Lee location. Don comes to us from CARR Hardware, where he worked as the General Manager for multiple locations, including the Lee

North Adams Needs Christmas Trees03:16PM / Friday, September 30, 2022 | | NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The city is seeking two large fir trees to decorate the downtown for the holiday season. They should be 25 to 30 feet in height. One will be placed at Monument Square and the other one at Rosenthal Square to be lighted this November. NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Emergency responders had a busy morning on Wednesday, first responding to a "suspicious" package at Walmart and then a coolant leak at Cumberland Farms across the street. Fire and emergency services responded to the Curran Highway convenience store around 8:30 a.m. to deal with the issue, after reports from workers of difficulty breathing and irritated eyes. Authorities were already in the area, investigating a suspicious package left at the bus depot at Walmart. The package, according to Police Chief Jason Wood, turned out to just be a cooler filled with ice packs. The package had apparently been left overnight — it was seen on a

It won't really affect homeowners who want to rent out a room or two in their primary residences or in a building that they live in, like a duplex. MCLA Volleyball Team Wins at Mass MaritimeMCLA Sports Information, 07:44PM / Saturday, September 24, 2022 | | BUZZARDS BAY, Mass. -- The MCLA volleyball team cruised to a four-set MASCAC victory over Mass Maritime Saturday afternoon 25-9, 25-17, 21-25, 25-13. Tied at 4-all early in the 1st set, MCLA (7-3, 2-0) used a dominating 20-3 run to separate themselves and jump out to a 1-0 set advantage. Up 8-6 in the second, the Trailblazers used a more modest 8-2 run to pull away at 16-8. That eight-point cushion would prove to be the difference as MCLA would take the set 25-17.
