He graduated with a Ph.D. from the University of Kentucky in 2020, where he taught courses relating to developmental psychology, neuroscience, statistics, and gender development. MCLA Volleyball Earns Five-Set Win11:33PM / Friday, September 01, 2023 | | KEUKA PARK, N.Y. -- The MCLA volleyball team Friday blew out SUNY Cobleskill, 15-2, in the fifth set to earn a 3-2 win in the Trailblazers' season opener. Christopher Pollock was approved an art-making gallery space of almost 500 square feet on the first floor of Building 13 at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art beginning Sept. 1. He creates sculptures in natural materials and metal and mobiles that he described as "picture a Calder with paddles that look like a reptile." His work can be seen here. McCann Tech Students Plan Charity Run for Maui Fire ReliefCommunity submission, 12:24PM / Thursday, August 31, 2023 | | CHESHIRE, Mass. — The McCann Tech cross country team on Sept. 16 will host a 5-kilometer trail run and 1 mile walk to benefit victims of August's fire in Hawaii. The Walk/Run for Maui fund-raiser will take place at Whitney's Farm on Ingalls Road (follow the dirt road past the U-Pick blueberries). Check in on Saturday, Sept. 16, will be at 7:30 a.m. The 5K trail run begins at 8:30, and the stroller-friendly 1 mile walk begins at 9:30. Registration Open for Monument Cup 3-on-3 Soccer TourneyCommunity submission, 09:43PM / Wednesday, August 30, 2023 | | GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- The 24th annual Monument Cup 3-on-3 soccer tournament returns on Sunday, Sept. 24, at Monument Mountain Regional High School. The event features boys and girls divisions in the under-10, under-12 and under-14 age groups. Teams of three to four players are guaranteed at least three matches. The top four teams in each division advance to the semifinals, with the championship matches played on the varsity field. Teams are encouraged to wear their own handmade, creative uniforms. Plans are to replace the dead tree on Main Street. NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The Tree Commission is getting things growing this year. The commission was reinstituted a couple of years ago after many dormant years. But it had a quite bit of a turnover in commissioners so it's taken until 2023 to find its groove. It planted 10 trees in late spring and early summer, including three at City Hall. The school district will have a prekindergarten through Grade 2 early education program and a Grades 3-6 upper elementary program and a Grades 7 through 12 middle and high school level. This was done in two votes as the organization of instruction had not been changed to reflect the move of the middle school to Drury High School nearly a decade ago.
