Same thing Tuesday and Wednesday: partly sunny skies with temperatures in the low 30s. It won't be as cold overnight with a low of 18 Tuesday and a low of 20 on Wednesday, reports Accuweather. NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Jack's hot dogs do taste different but, don't worry, the Levanos family is working on it. Owners Jeff and Joe Levanos took to social media Monday morning to address a particularly worrying concern in North County - Jack's hot dogs just taste a little off. "We here at Jack's have obviously noticed this as well and have been working for weeks with our distributor to find out what the issue is," they wrote.  ADAMS, Mass. — Gene Gavazzi served his country in the Marine Corps and Marine Reserves from 1983 to 1989. Born in Adams, he graduated from Hoosac Valley High School then went the college route for a couple of years. When riding home one day, he saw a Marine recruiting billboard – "Maybe, You Can Be One Of Us." It struck a chord with the 22-year-old and he was hooked. "I'll never forget when Staff Sgt.  NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — McCann Technical School student Christopher Sunn has received a certificate of academic excellence from the Mass Association of School Superintendents. Sunn, a senior in the school's Computer Aided Design program, is a straight-A student with a 4.4 GPA. When he graduates, Sunn plans to attend UMass Amherst, where he will study engineering. Superintendent James Brosnan presented Sunn and his family with the award at the school committee meeting on Thursday. BOSTON -- The MCLA women's basketball team Saturday concluded its first semester schedule with a 52-32 loss to Wentworth Institute of Technology. Wentworth (3-5) jumped out to an early 11-2 lead just four minutes into the game, but the MCLA defense would buckle down and hold the Leopards scoreless for nearly the next nine minutes of play. Unfortunately for the Trailblazers (3-8), points proved tough to come by and Wentworth would outscore the visitors 17-5 in the second quarter and take a 28-13 lead into halftime. CLARKSBURG, Mass. — The Planning Board has approved continued a hearing on a special permit submitted by New England Regional Dispensaries (NERD) to operate a cannabis dispensary on Cross Road. The board granted the special permit did not have a quorum at its meeting on Wednesday because one member was absent and another abstained. The board will meet Wednesday, Dec. 14, at noon at the Community Center. However, Chad Cellana, the founder of NERD, said if all goes well, he expects to be ready for operation in March. NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The city and airport hangar renovation project general contractor will clean up insulation littering surrounding properties and install preventive measures to contain the debris.
