District Attorney Charges Two Men With Enticing Children Staff Reports ,

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — The District Attorney's office reported that in two separate cases, two men allegedly attempted to entice children in North Adams. On Oct. 25, James Wojtkowski, 82 of Pittsfield, was arraigned in Berkshire Superior Court. Wojtkowski was charged with: Dissemination of Matter Harmful to a Minor Enticing a Child Under 16. According to a report, between April 29 and 30, 2023, Wojtkowski allegedly contacted a 14-year-old girl living in North Adams through Facebook. Well, I just voted, and I gave my first vote for City Council to Pete Breen. Why, you ask?
No other new candidate has the experience and devotion and has been as generous with their time. Over the past 40 years, Pete has served on many boards and commissions. He has worked for a variety of employers including MCLA, where Pete was a facilitator and instructor for technology and curriculum development and assistant registrar. Pete took that experience over into the town of Adams, where he implemented the town's entire computer system, serving as the town's technology administrator. NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The Northern Berkshire Community Coalition (NBCC) announced that they will support the work of the Louison House by giving the organization a one-time gift of $20,000. The funds came to the NBCC through the New England Rural Health Association. NBCC believes, that in light of the current rise in housing insecurity within the region, these funds are best utilized to support the Louison House, which provides services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness. The washout by the Horrigan Road culvert has been restored and the work is underway on the West Road damage. CLARKSBURG, Mass. — The town's recovering from the July 10 rainstorm but the highway foreman cautioned the Select Board on Wednesday that the pot for road work is emptied out. Kyle Hurlbut said the Highway Department has already gone over its budget by $35,000 to deal with issues apart from the three big projects on Gleason Avenue, Horrigan Road and West Road.  BREWSTER, Mass. — Former state Rep. Timothy Whelan served his country in the Marine Corps Reserve from 1989 to 1994 as a lance corporal. He grew up in Worcester and was the youngest of three children. His father was a public school teacher and his mother was a registered nurse. In 1989, he took a leave of absence as a corrections officer with the Worcester Country Sheriff's Office to enlist in the Marine Reserve and attended boot camp at Parris Island, S.C.
