Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony

Join us and hundreds of your neighbors as we celebrate the holiday season with our Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony! The tree lighting will take place at 6p.m transforming Main Street into a twinkling wonderland of thousands of lights illuminating the tree-lined street and decorating our two towering holiday trees at the ends of Main Street. We’d like to thank Norm & Ann Martin for donating the tree by the monument, in memory of Max Fiske, beloved neighbor. Also, thank you to Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Homes for donating the tree by City Hall.
Once the lights go up be on the lookout for Santa and Mrs. Claus, who will make a special appearance to bring goody bags to the children! Stick around and see what holiday gifts are to be found in the downtown shops! |

A 5K Run and Kids Fun Run to benefit the Noah Brown Scholarship Fund. Noah was taken from us suddenly this past year. His family invites you to share this event in his memory. Due to the out pouring of support for this event we have decided to add a 1 mile walk. The cost will be $10. Each walker will receive a Certificate of Participation. The route for the walk will be from the Visitors Center to Summer St.; Summer St. to Spring St (Corner Lunch) to Pleasant St to Depot St and back to Visitors Center. A film series that focuses on social change will kick off at Images Cinema with a showing of "The Wanted." The Social Change Film Series is being hosted by the Davis Center and will feature a different film each month. Faculty will hold a discussion after each film. Co-directed by Paul Cowan and Amer Shomali, "The Wanted" 18 is an animated documentary about the efforts of Palestinians in Beit Sahour to start a small local dairy industry during the First Intifada, when the dairy collective was deemed a threat to Israel’s national security.
