MONTPELIER, Vt. -- David Alvarez went 2-for-3 Wednesday to lead the Vermont Mountaineers to a 5-2 win over North Adams in the New England Collegiate Baseball League.

 

Nolan DeAndrade hit a two-run home run for the SteepleCats, who got 3 and two-thirds scoreless innings on the mound from Nicholas Noble.

 

North Adams (17-20) is in Rhode Island to face Ocean State on Thursday.
