NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Tristan Helmick threw six shutout innings Tuesday to lead the North Adams SteepleCats to a 4-0 win over Upper Valley and a double-header split in the New England Collegiate Baseball League.

 

Robert Stang went 2-for-3 with a solo home run to lead North Adams' offense in the win. Taconic graduate Nick Guachione was 1-for-3 with a double and scored a run.

 

In the nightcap, Upper Valley won, 7-3.

 

Sean Stephenson homered and drove in a pair of runs in the loss.

 

North Adams (17-19) travels to face the Vermont Mountaineers on Wednesday.
