NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — McCann Technical School Principal Justin Kratz has announced that Camryn Grace Moran has been named valedictorian and Paige Elizabeth Rochelo as salutatorian of the McCann class of 2025.
Both high honors scholars will speak at graduation on Wednesday, June 4, at 7 p.m. in the Amsler Center gymnasium at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.
Moran, daughter of Jason and Olivia Moran of North Adams, is a computer assisted design major who ranks first in her class with a 4.42 GPA. Her rigorous course of study has included AP Calculus, AP English and AP Physics. She is a member of the National Honor Society and of SkillsUSA, placing first in architectural drafting in the local competition in January.
She is a recipient of the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship and a member of the school's ski club and cross country team, for which she served as a captain. In her spare time, she volunteers at the Kids Lifting Kids Organization and is a junior board member for PopCares, a non-profit organization helping local cancer patients.
Moran is currently on co-op in the Department of Planning, Design and Construction at Williams College in
Williamstown, which she will be attending in the fall to major in biology with pre-veterinary concentration.
Rochelo, daughter of Casandra and Jonathan Rochelo of Cheshire, is also a computer assisted design major who ranks second in her class with a 4.40 GPA. She is a recipient of the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship, is a member of National Honor Society, SkillsUSA, and Business Professionals of America. She is enrolled in AP Calculus, AP English, AP Physics and works at SK Design Group through the co-op program at McCann.
In addition, she has been a positive, hard-working and committed member of the varsity softball team since ninth grade proving herself to be a leader and role model for her teammates. She is the captain of her team and has received
the Sportsmanship Award from the Umpires Association as well as the Berkshire Scholar Athlete Award.
Rochelo will be attending the Wentworth Institute of Technology Boston to majoring in architecture.
