Majesty of the Berkshires Pride Pageant 2025
The Adams Theater, Park Street
Time: Friday, 7:30 p.m.
 
A pageant celebrating the LGBTQIA-plus community will feature a competition to crown the reigning queen of the Berkshires. 
 
Participants will showcase their drag artistry and self-expression. The event, created by Bella Santarella, will also feature surprise guest queens, musical and dance performances, and lip-syncing acts.

Riverfest 

189 Beaver St., North Adams 
Time: Saturday, 11 a.m.  
 
There will be a a free, family-friendly event celebrating the Hoosic River at the Historic Beaver Mill.
 
Activities include fly fishing, face painting, fly tying demonstrations, and hands-on exploration of river organisms. 
 
There will also be information booths from local river conservation groups and initial placemaking ideas for the Beaver Mill site.

HospiceCare in The Berkshires will be celebrating those who have been a part of our lives. The memorial service provides visitors with an opportunity to enjoy thoughtful reflections as they release butterflies to honor the memories of those they love.

The Met: Live in HD — 'Il Barbiere di Siviglia'
The Clark Art Institute, Williamstown
Time: 1 p.m.
 
The museum will be streaming a live transmission from the Metropolitan Opera of Rossini's comedy "Il Barbiere di Siviglia."

Berkshire Bazaar Spring Fling 
Holiday Inn, Pittsfield
Time: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. 
 
Thistle 'n Thorn Floral is having a bazaar featuring local vendors selling handmade goods and artisan creations, supporting small businesses. 
 
Valet parking will be available for elderly and handicapped attendees, with additional parking options nearby. 
 
All raffle donations will benefit the Beat the Streets program, which empowers youth through athletic and personal development. A list of participating vendors includes Amy’s Sweet Treats, Berkshire Bows n Sews, and many more.

The Western Massachusetts Master Gardener Association will be having
a free gardening demonstration in Springside Park.

Scenic Summit Tours
Mount Greylock State Reservation, Lanesborough
Time: 1 p.m. 
 
There will be a focused talk led by a Park Interpreter at Mount Greylock,
exploring its cultural landscape and ecology. 
 
The tours are wheelchair accessible and last about 20 to 30 minutes, starting at the Mount Greylock summit contour map.

Native Plant Giveaway
20 Chapel St, Pittsfield
Time: 10 a.m. 
 
Berkshire Environmental Action Team will be thinning out the rain garden at the Environmental Leadership and Education Center this spring and is offering native plants to the community. 
 
Some available plants include common sneezeweed, seaside goldenrod, blue vervain, and great blue lobelia. 
 
Attendees are welcome to bring any excess native plants from their gardens to share. 
 
BEAT is also seeking donations of specific plants like wild bee balm, swamp milkweed, butterfly weed, golden alexander, red columbine, blue flag iris, and cardinal flower.

Hilltop Orchards is offering a Master Class Series focused on tree care, taught by expert David Martell.

Gun Violence Documentary
Adams Theater, Park Street
Time: 2 p.m.
 
"Hear Me: Gun Violence in Berkshire County" features seven local young people from who have been impacted by gun violence. The film explores root causes, stories of impact, and a way forward -- through the voices of experts: those who have lived it.
 
it will be followed by a panel with  Prison Policy Initiative Executive Director Peter Wagner, Williams College sociology professor Ben Snyder, Kamaar Taliaferro, chair of Berkshire County NAACP's Political Action Committee, and the documentary's producer Jenny Herzog.

Berkshires Satellite Reef Project Crochet Workshops
62 Center for Theatre and Dance, Williamstown 
Time: 2 p.m. 
 
There will be Coral Crochet Workshops as part of the Berkshires Satellite Reef community art project. 
 
The project involves creating a life-size coral reef made entirely of crochet, part of the Crochet Coral Reef initiative by Christine and Margaret Wertheim. The installation will be exhibited at Williams College in the spring of 2026.

Masterworks Concert: Berkshire Lyric

Seiji Ozawa Hall, Lenox
Time: 3 p.m. 
 
There is a concert featuring major works by Haydn, Beethoven, and Mozart, continuing a tradition of performing the Austro-German canon over the last decade.
 
The concert opens with Beethoven's "Calm Seas and Prosperous Voyage," followed by Haydn's secular oratorio "The Seasons," which explores the changing seasons. It concludes with the uplifting final chorus from Mozart's "The Magic Flute."

Jewish Community Day 2025
High Lawn Farm, Lee 
Time: 1 p.m. 
 
The farm is hosting a Jewish Community Day. The event features ice cream, cows, baby animals, crafts, community tables, raffles, Israeli dancing, music, Mediterranean treats, and more. 
 
The Jewish Federation will also be accepting donations of pasta and rice for distribution to food pantries across the Berkshires.

Roots Rising, the region's first teen-run market, will hold an indoor farmers market this Saturday. The event will feature live music, chef demos, workshops, children's activities, and more. More information is available here
