MONTPELIER, Vt. -- The Vermont Mountaineers collected five extra-base hits and 16 hits overall Wednesday to earn a 9-8 win over the North Adams SteepleCats in New England Collegiate Baseball Leage action.

 

David McCann went 3-for-5 with a home run, a pair doubles and a pair of RBIs to lead North Adams, which finished with 12 hits.

 

Max Palinski went 3-for-4, and Antonio Morales and Aeden Anderson each doubled for the 'Cats.

 

Four different North Adams pitchers split time on the hill, striking out nine.

 

The SteepleCats (5-6) are home on Friday evening at Joe Wolfe Field against the Valley Blue Sox.
