There are a variety of events this weekend in the Berkshires including a sugaring season celebration, International Women's Day community celebration dinner, live music, and more.

Maple Sugaring Season Celebration
Holiday Brook Farm, Dalton
Time: Sunday, 9:30 to 11 a.m.
Berkshire Natural Resources Council and Berkshire Family Hikes will be celebrating maple sugaring season at Holiday Brook Farm.
The family-friendly event will include a short hike on the farm, activities, and an opportunity to visit the farm’s animals, including emus. At the end of the event families will bring home a maple sugar treat.
The farm will also offer tours of the boiling room and a pancake breakfast until 1:00 p.m. for visitors to purchase.
Friday
Breaking Trad Workshop and Concert
Dewey Hall, Sheffield
Time: Workshop 6 p.m., concert 8 p.m.
Award-winning Irish band Breaking Trad will be performing. They attempt to add a modern twist to Irish music. Tickets are $25.
Band members will also be leading a fiddle, Celtic tuning guitar techniques, and button accordion polkas and slides workshops. Tickets for the workshop are $25.

Psychic Comedian
Bennington (Vt.) Theater, 331 Main St.
Time: 9:30 p.m.
Peter Antoniou, who had headlined in Las Vegas and appeared on "America's Got Talent," performs an evening of mentalist entertainment including mind reading, fortune telling and comedy. This follows his sold-out show at 7:30.

Creative Movement & Storytime
Becket Athenaeum
Time: 10:30 a.m.
Laurel Lenski will lead a free movement and storytime class designed to exercise children's imagination, strengthen their fine and gross motor skills, and support their development of social and emotional skills. Lenski has an associates degree in dance and a bachelor's degree in expressive art therapy.
Bring Your Own Vinyl Night
Hot Plate Brewing Co., Pittsfield
Time: 7 p.m.
DJ Pup Daddy will be performing some of his favorite albums and encourages the community to bring their own.
Zonta Club Special Recognition Dinner
Berkshire Hills Country Club, Pittsfield
Time: 5:30 p.m.
The Zonta Club of Berkshire County will be having an International Women's Day community celebration dinner to honor six Berkshire County women who have worked to build a better world for women and girls.

Saturday
Northern Lights Ball
North Adams Elks Lodge
Time: 8 p.m.
North Adams Pride will hold its second annual Northern Lights Ball for members of the regional LGBTQIA-plus community and allies.
This event is open to all members of the public 21 and older; a current ID will be required for entry.

Indoor Pittsfield Farmers Market
Zion Lutheran Church, Pittsfield
Time: 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
The region's first teen-run market, Roots Rising, will be having an indoor farmers market this Saturday featuring live music, chef demos, workshops, children's activities and more.
Contra Dance
First Congregational Church, Williamstown
Time: 7:30 p.m.
North Berkshire Community Dance hosts a pay-as-you-go ($12-$20 suggested) contra dance in the parish hall with caller Maggie McRae and music by the Vintons. Masks optional but appreciated.
Karaoke
Veterans of Foreign Wars 996, North Adams
Time: 9 p.m.
Sing your heart out for a chance to win $30 at the end of the night. The rules for the prize are participants must sing at least one solo song and stay until the end of the night. Previous winners will not be entered into the drawing.
Winter Hike
Arrowhead, Pittsfield
Time: 12:30 p.m.
There will be a guided hike around the grounds of Arrowhead where attendees can be introduced to the site by the Berkshire County Historical Society, learn about Herman Melville’s sleigh rides, and see how Mount Greylock looks in the winter.
This is an easy pace hike with little elevation. More information here.
Tom Petty Tribute Band Performance
The Stationery Factory, Dalton
Time: 7:30 p.m.
Tom Petty tribute band, The Broken-Hearted, will perform some of the American singer-songwriter and guitarist's classic hits.

Animal Support Projects: St. Patrick’s Day and Easter Themed
Benson's Pet Center, Pittsfield
Time: noon to 3 p.m.
Benson's Pet Center will be providing people a photo op with their furry babies.
For a $10 donation, pet parents can bring home a 4-by-6 inch framed keepsake. This month's participants can choose between a St. Patrick's Day or Easter theme. More information here.

Cabin Fever Story Time
Mount Greylock State Reservation Visitor Center, Lanesborough
Time: 1 to 2:30 p.m.
Relax by a hearth fire for an hour as Mount Greylock Park Interpreter and folklore fan Mike tells some Mount Greylock tales including The Wild Man of the Hills, The Mysterious Spirit Woman of Pratt Hill, the Wayward Moose Named Bill, and the legendary ghost of Old Coot.

On Pointe Barre and Fitness Studio and Hot Plate Brewing Co. have collaborated to bring an hour long barre class followed by a pint of beer.
