STAMFORD, Vt. — State Police are seeking information on a theft from Stamford School early Friday.
An individual wearing all black, a winter hat and facemask took off with a small safe containing money from the main office.
The entrance set off an alarm and troopers arrived shortly after midnight on Friday morning. They found an unlocked window with the screen pushed up; no one was in the building when they entered.
The school building on Main Road also contains the town offices and town library.
Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to contact Trooper Kyle Stevens at the Shaftsbury barracks at 802-442-5421. Anonymous tips can also be made here. https://cityprotect.com/forms/state.vt.us/anonymous
