NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Belle Wurmser scored a power play goal midway through the third period Saturday to give the MCLA women's hockey team a 4-3 win and a weekend sweep over Hilbert.
Mallory Stuart scored a goal and assisted on Wurmser's game-winner.
Katie O'Brien stopped 22 shots to earn the win in goal.
MCLA (2-2) hosts Anna Maria on Thursday evening.
Men's Hockey
NASHUA, N.H. -- Cade Herrera completed his hat trick midway through the third period to give the MCLA hockey team a come-from-behind, 4-3 win over Rivier for the Trailblazers' first win since reviving the program after 20 years.
Rivier scored the game's first two goals and led, 3-1, after one period.
Luke Rhoss scored a goal for the Trailblazers, who got 27 saves from Mathew Grover.
MCLA (1-0-1) goes to UMass-Dartmouth on Thursday.
Volleyball
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Beatrice Gamboa-Estrella had eight kills to lead Worcester State to a three-set win over MCLA.
Anais Badio had seven kills for the Trailblazers in the 25-9, 25-22, 28-26 loss.
MCLA finishes the regular season with a record of 19-4 (5-1 MASCAC).
