KEUKA PARK, N.Y. -- The MCLA volleyball team Friday blew out SUNY Cobleskill, 15-2, in the fifth set to earn a 3-2 win in the Trailblazers' season opener.

 

Chloe Garber registered a team-high 13 kills, and Lee's Elizabeth Brown had 10 aces for MCLA.

 

The Trailblazers play Keuka College on Saturday morning.

 

Men's Soccer

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Monument Mountain graduate Avery Manzolini and Taconic grad Reynaldo Castro each scored a goal for MCLA in a 3-0 win over Cobleskill.

 

Ryan Taylor stopped two shots to earn the win in goal for MCLA (1-0), which goes to Eastern Connecticut on Wednesday.

 

Women's Soccer

FRANKLIN, Mass. -- Dean College scored three times in the second half to break open a one-goal game and hand MCLA a 5-1 loss.

 

Cidnee Frymire scored for the Trailblazers, who got 10 saves from Wahconah graduate Eva Eberwein.

 

MCLA (0-1) goes to Anna Maria on Sunday.
