There will be a variety of events in the Berkshires this weekend including a car show, fundraisers, musical performances, and more.

Motorama 
Main Street, North Adams
Time: Sunday, 9 to 3. 
 
Hundreds of classic cars and hot rods will line the downtown on Sunday featuring awards, swap meet, music, and more. 
 
The celebration of "all things motorized" will kick off with a cruise-in on Saturday at Mingo's Sports Bar and Grill from 2 until 6 p.m. Admission is free and food and refreshments will be available.

Bobby Sweet Band

The local singer-songwriter has performed with Arlo Guthrie, Pete Seeger and Vince Gill, and his songs have been performed on television shows such as "Nashville," "Soul Food" and "Judging Amy."

Bike Decorating

Help the Massachusetts Contemporary Art Museum decorate a fleet of donated bicycles. Paint and supplies will be provided and dress appropriately to be messy. More information here
 
Steak Roast

Time: 5 p.m. 
 
Support the Otis Fire Department by participating in its annual Steak Roast. The event features dinner, music, dancing, and prizes.

Tie-Dye for Adults
North Adams Public Library
Time: 11 a.m.
 
The public library will be having a late summer tie-dye event. Bring a T-shirt, hoodie, tote bag, or anything else you wish to decorate and the library will supply the rest. No registration is required. More information here
 
Artist Talk: In the Garden
The Clark, Williamstown
Time: 3 p.m. 
 
During this free discussion Artist Pallavi Sen the sculptural artist's garden she and Williams College students created as part of the Humane Ecology: Eight Positions exhibit. Information on the exhibit here
 
Sen and the students will explain the cultivation process and talk about the garden's double status as an artwork and productive food source while walking through the garden.

CatVideoFest 2023

CatVideoFest returns to the big screen with another round of the world's funniest, cuddliest, scratchiest and, of course, cutest cat videos. All proceeds from this family-friendly event benefit Second Chance Animal Shelter.

Plein Air Painting
Noel Field, North Adams
Time: 1 to 4 p.m. 
 
Hoosic River Revival hosts this watercolor painting workshop with local artist Corry Buckwalter along the South Branch of the Hoosic River. 
 
The event will include a demonstration, instruction and feedback from Buckwalter, and will end with a reception. Both novice and experienced painters of all ages are welcome to participate.

Cummington Fair

The annual Cummington Fair returns this Thursday starting at 4 p.m. and will run until Sunday, Aug. 27.  
The fair will feature music, food, and activities for all ages including truck pulls or the demolition derby.  
  
The fair runs from 4 to 9:30 on Thursday and Friday, on Saturday it runs from 7 a.m. to 9:30. The event will conclude on Sunday from 7 a.m. until 7:30 p.m.

Washington County Fair

It's a little farther afield, but the fair at the Washington County Fairgrounds runs for a full week with contests, demonstrations, demo derbies, livestock shows, concerts, carnival rides and more.
