NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Hudson Polk homered, and Will Tobin threw seven scoreless innings Thursday as the SteepleCats beat the Bristol Blues, 9-0, at Joe Wolfe Field.

 

Polk went 2-for-5, and Gunnar Johnson was 3-for-5 with a double and four RBIs in a 13-hit North Adams attack.

 

Taconic graduate Cedric Rose doubled and scored a run in the win.

 

Tobin struck out five and scattered four hits to earn the win. Jonathan Peterson struck out three in two innings of hitless relief.

 

North Adams (11-29) hosts Danbury, Conn., for a double-header starting at 4 p.m. on Friday.
