SANFORD, Maine -- Samuel Tackett went 2-for-4 with a double and a pair of RBIs Friday to lead the North Adams SteepleCats to a 6-3 win over the Mainers in New England Collegiate Baseball League action.

 

Taconic High School graduate Sam Sherman also went 2-for-4 for North Adams, which collected 10 hits in snapping a 10-game losing streak.

 

Will Tobin earned the win on the mound, striking out seven and allowing just two runs in five innings of work.

 

North Adams (9-27) travels to Holyoke to play the Valley Blue Sox on Saturday.
