ADAMS, Mass. – Ashlyn Lesure hit a two-run home run and scored three times Thursday to lead the ACS Swat to a 16-7 win over the Greylock Thunder in the Berkshire County Fast Pitch Softball 16U division.

The Swat jumped on top with a four-run first inning that featured an RBI single by Nora Kondel.

The hosts built that lead to 8-0 over the next two innings as Gabby Driscoll held the Thunder to two hits and stranded six runners in the first three frames.

With one out and a runner on third in the bottom of the third, Leisure hit a bomb deep to left field and raced around the bases for an inside-the-park homer.

The Thunder struck back for four runs in the top of the fourth to make a game of it.

Farra Larabee had the big hit, a two-run single down the third base line.

The Swat then stretched out their lead with six runs in the bottom of the fourth, highlighted by Nora Moser’s two-run
double to help make it 14-4.

In the top of the fifth, Greylock scored three times.

Dani King drove in a run with a single up the middle, and Genevieve Lagess doubled in a run. She then scored on Larabee’s RBI groundout to make it a 14-7 game.

ACS picked up a couple of insurance runs on one hit, Ava Cariddi’s infield single, in the top of the fifth.

In the bottom of the frame, Cariddi erased the side in order, taking advantage of a double play when Lesure fielded a pop up at short and fired to first base to double off a runner.

The Swat wraps up the regular season next week with a road game in Dalton on Tuesday and another home date against the Thunder on Thursday.
