NEWPORT, R.I. -- Anthony Donofrio hit a home run and a double Wednesday to lead the Newport Gulls to a 2-1 win and a double-header sweep of the North Adams SteepleCats.

 

Donofrio doubled and drove in a pair of runs in the first game of the twin bill, which the Gulls won, 13-2.

 

North Adams (1-6) hosts Mystic, Conn., on Thursday.
