Berkshire County is hosting a variety of events including a carnival, live musical performances, comedy nights, and more.

The Gillette Shows Carnival is back this Thursday and will run through May 14.
Wristbands are available daily at $25 for unlimited access to rides. Tickets are also available for purchase.
The carnival is open weekdays from 5 until 9 p.m. and weekends from 1 until 9 p.m.

First Fridays
Downtown North Adams
Time: 5 to 8 p.m.
"Flower Power" is the theme of this month's First Friday events.
Put on your floral outfits and help spruce up flower beds, help create a floral chalk mural, enjoy dance and music performances, and visit the downtown businesses.

'Enmeshed' Opening Reception
Installation Space, North Adams
Time: 4 to 8 p.m.
An opening reception for 'Enmeshed' by interdisciplinary artist Katy Rodden Walker.
The exhibit draws inspiration from microscopic images of fungal spores and roots to focus on the complexities and interconnectedness of how microscopic organisms "contribute to the health and vibrancy of the communities they live within and the sustainability of our planet."
Cinco De Mayo Celebration
North Adams American Legion Post 125
Time: 7 to 10 p.m.
The Ray Gifford Band will perform in celebration of Cinco De Mayo.
First Friday Artswalk
Downtown Pittsfield
Time: 5 to 8 p.m.
Artswalk programming includs an art market on Dunham Mall, live music in Persip Park and live art demos. The free kids' paint & sip returns to St. Stephen's Episcopal Church and moves outdoors later in the season.

Open Studio
Clock Tower Business Park, Pittsfield
Time: 11 to 4
The Clock Tower Artist collaborative is kicking off its monthly open studio event this weekend.
The event runs from May until December. Art lovers can explore the working space of the Clock Tower artists.

Last Indoor North Adams Farmers Market
Terra Nova Church, North Adams
Time: 9 to 1.
North Adams Farmers Market will conclude its indoor winter season this Saturday.
The market features chocolate peanut butter cookies from Bohemian Nouveau Bakery, rosemary wreaths from Full Well Farm, maple syrup, fresh eggs and meats from Square Roots Farm, jams and pickles, local cheeses, and more.
The market accepts cash, cards and SNAP/EBT, with a Market Match of up to $30 for SNAP/EBT.
Blues-rock Performance
Stationery Factory, Dalton
Time: 7:30 p.m.
Texas-based blues-rocker Clay Melton brings his distinctive sound to the Stationery stage following his release last year of "Live in Texas," which featured 10 original tunes and a cover of ZZ Top's "Jesus Just Left Chicago" that hit No. 1 on the Roots Music Blues Rock chart.

Comedy Night
Bright Ideas Brewing, North Adams
Time: 8 p.m.
Laugh over a drink at Bright Ideas on the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Arts campus. The comedy evening is hosted every second Saturday of the month.

Movie Night for Adults
Becket Athenaeum
Time: 6:30 p.m.
Enjoy some popcorn and watch the Academy Award-winning film "The Whale."
The film follows an obese English teacher as he attempts to reconnect with his estranged teenage daughter before dying of a heart condition.
Beekeepers Theater Movie Night
Dewey Hall, Sheffield
Time: 7 p.m.
Enjoy some popcorn and watch a series of short films, cocktails will be available for purchase starting at 6.
The event features works by Campbell Bridges, Jordyn Cormier, Ron Domingo (and family) Chris Tipp, Ed Valentine, Jennifer Laine Williams, and more
The event will conclude with a piano bar sing-along with Ron Domingo.
Tickets at the door cost $20 or $15 for seniors. Tickets are free for Card to Culture, EBT, WIC, or Connectorcare cardholders.

The Clark Art Institute will hold its final First Sunday Free of the season offering free admission to the galleries and special exhibitions.
The day features a series of special activities from 1 until 4 p.m. and a pop-up display of works on paper on view from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. May's theme is "Fashion."
Eagles Band Concert
First United Methodist Church, Pittsfield
Time: 3 p.m.
The Eagles Band performs a free spring concert that will include an intermission bake sale and giveaway. The trombone ensemble will perform first.

Community Recreation Association, Dalton
Time: 9 a.m.
Races will be held at Nessacus Middle School and include a 5-kilometer and 10-kilometer, the Obstacles & Popsicles kids' races for ages 8 and under and a 1-mile Splatter Sprint for ages 8 and up, all with chip timing by Berkshire Running Center.

Peruse 1000s of Records, CDs and more from Northeast vendors while listening to music spun by various DJs.
General admission tickets cost $3 and VIP admission costs $10. VIPs are let in at 8:30 a.m.
Food truck BBs Hot Spot and craft beverages will be on site.
Visitor Center Scavenger Hunt

Visit Mount Greylock Visitor Center from 10 to 3 for a self-guided indoor scavenger hunt.

Singer/songwriter Nandi Rose performs at Tourists on Sunday.
Half Waif Live in the Lodge
Tourists resort, North Adams
Williamstown-native Nandi Rose is a singer, songwriter, and producer who writes and records under the name Half Waif. She will be re-imagining some of her songs and performing new ones in this solo piano show.
The performance starts at 8 p.m. Sing for your Slumber are free and open to the public; the freewill donations for the artists are encouraged.
