NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The  Northern Berkshire Community Coalition (nbCC) has been selected as a beneficiary of the Big Y Community Bag Program  for the month of April.

 

The Big Y Community Bag Program, which launched in January 2019, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support.

 

Northern Berkshire Community Coalition was selected as the April beneficiary of the program by store leadership at the Big Y located at North Adams. The Coalition will receive a $1 donation every time the $2.50 reusable Community Bag is purchased at this location during April, unless otherwise directed by the customer through the Giving Tag attached to the bag.

 

"We are excited to have been selected for this wonderful program and we are grateful for the support from Big Y and the community," said Amber Besaw, Executive Director. "The funds raised through this effort will help us provide food and transportation to the approximately fifty local youth that participate in our weekly youth development programming for 13-19 year olds."
