DAVENPORT, Fla. -- The MCLA baseball team Saturday split a double-header with Maine-Farmington, winning the first game, 9-7, and falling in the nightcap, 5-4.

 

Michael Wormuth went 2-for-5 with a home run and five RBIs in the win. Rob Correia got the victory on the mound, going 3-1/3 innings and allowing six earned runs.

 

MCLA (4-2) plays Colby-Sawyer on Monday.

 

Softball

NAPLES, Fla. -- MCLA dropped a pair of games on opening day on Saturday, falling 8-6 to Wisconsin-Superior and 16-5 to Crown College of Minnesota.

 

In the season opener against Wisconsin-Superior, Madyson Torres and Kristie Zator each went 2-for-3 with a double.

 

In the nightcap, Lidia Flores was 2-for-2 with a double.

 

MCLA (0-2) plays Nazareth and John Jay on Sunday.

 

Men's Lacrosse

RIVERDALE, N.Y. -- Mount St. Vincent handed MCLA a 9-6 loss behind four goals from Andrew Dzubak.

 

Boden Dock scored a pair for the Trailblazers (2-2), who go to Salem State on Monday.
