NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Cohen Nies struck out four in a seven-inning no-hitter as the North Adams SteepleCats beat the Bristol Blues to earn a double-header sweep at Joe Wolfe Field.

 

Alex Lane hit a three-run home run for the SteepleCats, who broke open a scoreless game with four runs in the sixth inning of the seven-inning game.

 

In Game 1 of the double-header, Bristol scored three runs in the top of the eighth to earn a 4-3, extra-inning win.

 

Randy Reyes struck out seven in six innings in a no decision for North Adams.

 

Vincent Bianchina went 2-for-3 with an RBI in the loss.

 

The SteepleCats (8-25) hosts Danbury on Sunday at 5.
