PITTSFIELD, Mass — Berkshire Health Systems will present a community webinar focusing on mammography and breast wellness in October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

 

The program, titled "A Closer Look at Mammography and Breast Wellness," will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 20 at 6 pm via Zoom.

 

Dr. Caitlyn Lopez, Medical Director of the Women's Imaging Center at Berkshire Medical Center, will host the program. She is board certified in diagnostic radiology, specializing in breast imaging.

 

One in eight women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime, but regular mammograms can help detect cancer early and save lives. This webinar will offer an in-depth look at mammograms, including the benefits of advanced 3-D screenings, how radiologists read scans, and what patients can expect from a mammography experience at BMC.
