SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. -- The duo of Reagan Scattergood and Kelly Moczulski notched 14 kills apiece as they led the MCLA volleyball team to a hard fought 3-1 victory in the season opener Wednesday at Mount Holyoke.

 

Scattergood collected a career best 14 kills on 29 attacks. Moczulski was just as efficient collecting her 14 kills on just 25 attacks. 

 

Chloie Garber had a nice first match in a Trailblazer uniform with 12 kills and eight digs. Scattergood added 11 digs and three aces for MCLA. Natasha Stewart notched 40 assists and eight aces to lead the team in both categories.

 

MCLA is off until Tuesday night when it heads to Bay Path for a non-league contest.

MANSFIELD, Conn. -- Ryan Sirols scored twice to lead Eastern Connecticut State to victory in the season opener for both teams.

 

Mount Greylock graduate Sam Edge made 13 saves for the Trailblazers, who host Western Connecticut State on Saturday afternoon.
