NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Charles Middleton went 3-for-4 with a home run and a double Monday to lead the North Adams SteepleCats to a 7-2 win over the Sanford Mainers.

 

Monument Mountain graduate Jared Henry struck out three allowed one run in three innings of relief to earn the save on the mound.

 

North Adams pounded out 12 hits in winning its third straight game on a five-game homestand.

 

The SteepleCats (19-14-2) are in second place in the New England Collegiate Baseball League North Division. They have two more home games left on this homestand, Tuesday against Vermont and Wednesday against Keene, N.H.
