NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Vincenzo Zappulla and Justin Baeyens combined on a seven-inning two-hitter Friday as the North Adams SteepleCats earned a 5-1 win over Sanford, Maine, in the nightcap of a double-header at Joe Wolfe Field.

 

John Marti drove in a pair of runs for the SteepleCats, who had five hits, including a double from Mason Hull.

 

The Mainers won the opener, 7-3, as three Sanford pitchers combined to hold the SteepleCats to two hits.

 

Justin Grech went 1-for-3 with an RBI and scored a run for North Adams.

 

The SteepleCats (17-14-2) host the Upper Valley Nighthawks on Sunday night.
