BRTA Service Update: Reduced Services 04:27PM / Tuesday, July 20, 2021 | |
PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Because of a lack qualified drivers to operate Berkshire Regional Transit Authority (BRTA) vehicles, there will be a reduction of transportation services, including fixed bus route and paratransit.
BRTA noted that they too are affected and impacted by the nationwide workforce shortage.
To continue BRTA's service, some weekday routes will be curtailed for a short-term, approximately 6-8 weeks, as they continue to hire and train additional operators. Saturday schedules are not affected.
This will begin on Sunday, July 25, 2021.
