PITTSFIELD, Mass. — The Irish American Club of Berkshire County, led by President Kevin Cahill, announced the opening of their new Irish dance school, Scoil Rince Bréifne Ó Ruairc, under the direction of Jennifer Darby.

Scoil Rince Bréifne Ó Ruairc (skoal RIN-ka BREF-nee o RORK) will offer Irish dance classes to children and adults in Pittsfield. Their mission is to provide high-quality traditional Irish dance instruction in a fun, supportive, and inclusive environment to anyone in Berkshire County.

Jennifer has achieved certification as a teacher of Irish dance with Cumann Rince Naisiunta, an open platform Irish dance organization that is based in Ireland and includes schools worldwide.

She began studying Irish dance in the 1990s with the Irish American Club of Berkshire County.

According to a press release, Jennifer has continued dancing for nearly 30 years, enjoying competitive success before shifting
her focus to inspiring the love of Irish dance in a new generation of dancers by becoming a teacher in 2015.
