NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Richard Vincent Geib, 62, of 368 Houghton St. died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at his home.
Born in Hagaman, N.Y., on March 21, 1950, a son of Francis Geib and Iola Machand Geib Morin, he graduated from Amsterdam (N.Y.) High School.
A Marine veteran of the Vietnam War, he served two tours as a private. He was decorated with the Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with bronze star and two Purple Hearts with gold stars.
Mr. Geib was employed for several years at Clean Harbors Co. in Albany, N.Y.
He and his wife, the former Angela Taft, were married July 3, 2008, in North Adams.
Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Richard Murphy of Cheshire; two sisters, Theresa Phaneuf and her husband, Robert, and Dorothy Greenlaw, all of North Adams; two grandchildren, Lita and Ariel Murphy, and nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
He was predeceased by his previous wife, the former Susan Perry, in 2007 and his brother, Peter Geib, in 1979.
 FUNERAL NOTICE — Graveside services with military honors will take in the spring in the Southview Cemetery, North Adams. Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, is in charge of arrangements.
