NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Florence Marie "Daisy" Tremblay, 91, of 32 College Ave. died Monday, Dec. 24, 2012, at North Adams Commons.
Born in Readsboro, Vt., on Jan. 19, 1921, daughter of Joseph and Sophie Lazelle Duperault, she attended Readsboro schools.
Mrs. Tremblay was employed by the former Readsboro Chair Factory and later at the former Sprague Electric Co. for many years until her retirement.
She was a communicant of the former Notre Dame du Sacre Coeur Church. She enjoyed cooking and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Her husband, David F. Tremblay, whom she married in 1944, died on Dec. 18, 2002.
She leaves two daughters, Nancy Gliwski and Bonnie Sheehan, both of North Adams; a son, David E. Tremblay of Roswell, Ga.; a sister, Bernice Bergeron of North Adams; six grandchildren, Michael Gliwski, Matthew Gliwski, Ryan Sheehan, Jon Sheehan, Jay Tremblay and Todd Tremblay, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her grandson Thomas Sheehan, on Feb. 7, 2002, and nine siblings, including Elaine Tremblay.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mrs. Tremblay will be celebrated Friday, Dec. 28, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in care of Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA 01247.
