NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Walter J. Pellerin Jr., 66, of Hall Street died Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, at his home.
Born in North Adams on Oct. 14, 1946, a son of Mary Gaffey Pellerin of North Adams and the late Walter Pellerin Sr., he attended the former St. Joseph's High School.
An Air Force veteran, he served during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Pellerin was the owner and operator, along with his wife and children, of the former Coffee Shoppe in North Adams. He was last employed at Morrison Berkshire.
He was a communicant of the former St. Francis of Assisi Church.
He and his wife, the former Gayle Roberts, were married March 26, 1982.
Besides his wife and mother, he leaves a son, Joseph Pellerin-Badger and his husband, Robert, of Georgia, Vt.; a daughter, Michelle Nicklien and her husband, Shawn, of Pownal, Vt.; three stepsons, Richard Cook and his wife, Nancy, and Shawn Cook and his wife, Carrieanne, all of North Adams, and Harold "Tommy" Cook and his wife, Debbie, of Adams; a sister, Patricia Howland of North Adams; a brother, Richard Pellerin of North Adams; three grandchildren and 11 stepgrandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services for Mr. Pellerin will take place Friday, Nov. 2, at 11 from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Friday morning from 9 to 11 at the funeral home.

We are so sorry to hear of Walt's passing, He was such a wonderful and kind man. I remember working with him not only at MBI but at General Photo as well, he was always smiling and had a kind word.
