NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Christine M. Martin, 63, of 11 Navajo Drive died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.
Born in Adams on Aug. 20, 1949, daughter of Gerard Marcil and Mary Lorraine St. Pierre Marcil Hendricks, she graduated from the former Adams High School.
Mrs. Martin was self-employed as a newspaper carrier for the North Adams Transcript. She had earlier worked at the former General Electric Co. in Pittsfield.
She leaves her husband, Russell K. Martin, whom she married on Feb. 17, 1983; two sons, Wayne Sorel and his wife, Nadine, and Carlton Sorel, all of North Adams; four grandchildren, Kassandra and Joshua Sorel, David Morgan and Jessica Marino, and her great-grandchildren Lilly and Adrian.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral service for Mrs. Martin will be celebrated Sunday, Sept. 9, at 3 p.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams.
Calling hours will be held Sunday afternoon from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
