NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Gloria Jean Whipple, 77, of 1080 Massachusetts Ave. died Sunday, April 8, 2012, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.
Born in Worcester on Jan. 24, 1935, a daughter of Forrest and Violet Dansereau Farrin, she attended schools in Chester.
Mrs. Whipple was a loving and devoted homemaker and mother who loved spending time with her family and friends.
Her husband, Robert Anthony Whipple, whom she married Jan. 27, 1956, died in 1992.
She leaves her a daughter, Renee Vincent and her husband, Al, of Lee; a son, Robert A. Whipple Jr. and his wife, Glory, of North Adams; three sisters, Geraldine Washkevich of Grafton, Irene Farrin of North Adams and Mae Brodeur of California; three grandchildren, Nicholas Caropreso, Crystal Ames and Stephanie Ritcher, four great-grandchildren, 18 nieces and 14 nephews.
She was predeceased by her son Bruce Whipple on Oct. 7, 1982, and three sisters and two brothers, Shirley Ball, Dorothy Goodermote, Nancy Brosnihan, Forrest Farrin and Ronald Farrin.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services for Mrs. Whipple will take place Saturday, April 14, at 9:30 a.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams.
Calling hours will be Friday, April 13, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested for the Berkshire Humane Society through the funeral home.
